How to Delete Your Account
If you created a demo account on eTrader, you can delete it yourself, in the app or on this page, with no waiting. The other options cover everything else.
Delete a Demo Trading Account
For demo accounts you opened yourself in eTrader. No password? Use the form at the top of this page. Accounts opened with a broker do not show this option.
- Sign in to the demo account in the eTrader app for iPhone or Android, or in eTrader Web.
- Open Settings. On a computer, open the account panel where you change your password.
- Choose Delete This Demo Account.
- Confirm the deletion. The account, its balance, open positions and trade history are erased at once, and the login stops working.
Delete Your eTrader ID
Your eTrader ID is the email sign-in you use for eTrader AI, eTrader Code and the Bots window in eTrader Web.
- Go to id.etraderweb.com and sign in with the code sent to your email.
- Open the Security tab. Under Delete your eTrader ID, choose Delete my eTrader ID.
- Choose Email Me a Code and enter the 6-digit code from your inbox.
- Choose Delete Permanently. The ID, its eTrader Code files, its AI Bots, its AI model keys and its eTrader API keys are erased immediately. Trading accounts you connected stay with your broker.
Remove an Account From Your Device
In the eTrader app, open Settings, Accounts and tap the sign-out icon next to the account. This removes the account and its saved token from that device, but does not delete the account itself.
Ask Us to Delete Your Data by Email
Email [email protected] from your registered email address, with the subject “Delete my eTrader account”, and include your account login (number) and the email you registered with.
What Gets Deleted
Whether you delete the account in the app or ask us by email, we delete the account and the personal data we hold for it.
Demo Accounts
The demo trading account you created in-app, its trading records (open positions, pending orders, history), price alerts, notifications and virtual balances are permanently deleted, along with any copytrading links belonging to the account.
Personal Data
The name and email address collected at demo sign-up, and any saved session and device tokens, are deleted, and push notifications for that account stop.
eTrader ID
The ID, its email address and name, its sign-in activity log, its eTrader Code files, its AI Bots and their account links, its encrypted AI model keys and its eTrader API keys are permanently deleted. Trading accounts you connected are only unlinked.
Live Broker Accounts
Live trading accounts are opened and held by your chosen broker, not by SGHK. Deletion of a live account and its regulated records is handled by that broker, so contact them directly. This page covers the eTrader software and the demo data SGHK holds.

Data We May Retain
We keep a minimal security entry in our audit log recording that the deletion took place (the account identifier, the time and the originating IP address). We may also retain limited records where required by law or for fraud prevention, security and anti-money-laundering compliance (governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR). Retained records are kept only as long as required and are not used for any other purpose.
